Calif. premium hikes at 4 percent

Fears of big increases in Obamacare premiums in California apparently were unfounded, as hikes for 2015 appear to be just over 4 percent. Payment deadline now Jan. 15

Yet another Obamacare deadline has shifted: California customers of the state exchange have until Jan. 15 to make their first month's premium payments. Health insurance seekers who were frustrated in their last-minute attempts to sign up at Covered California have a reprieve. The California Obamacare operation announced the selective extensions a day after the Dec. 23 deadline for signups.
