Waiting times to get help from the Obamacare operation in California remain near peak levels, with phone callers on hold for an average of more than 49 minutes in the latest reporting period. Payment deadline now Jan. 15
Yet another Obamacare deadline has shifted: California customers of the state exchange have until Jan. 15 to make their first month's premium payments. Paper applications in 5 languages
The Covered California web site is now offering paper applications in five languages, including Spanish and Chinese. The Spanish-language application became available just before the start of the new year, apparently after the deadline for coverage beginning Jan. 1 (2014). Health insurance seekers who were frustrated in their last-minute attempts to sign up at Covered California have a reprieve.
